“Stay home Stay safe”, and what else? Staying home for too long is not only leading to boredom but affecting mental peace as well. Agree? Here comes again a monotonous day, for both working professionals and job seekers.

It is true that pandemic is unfortunate for economy and worse for travellers and job seekers. Situation is uncontrollable but can we do something for what we can control? Of-course, sipping coffee watching news and series isn’t enough.

This is the time when we can rediscover and rebrand ourselves within millions of crowd. Whether it is up skilling, or making time for something you missed after school life. When thing go back to normal or say new normal, we might be asked by our friends, — “what you did entire quarantine?”

Painting is one of the most adopted hobbies. Also Art have a huge market, you can earn by selling paintings online. Now most people believe Art is tough, yes I agree! But there is a famous saying “Practice makes a man perfect”.

Nothing satisfies less than accomplishing challenge to self. There are few art forms, you should definitely try and post on your Instagram:

Chalk carving

  1. Chalk Carving: Yes the word carving sounds like hammer and nail. Hold on! Chalk carving is not so. It’s all about needle and chalk. Here you have to be patience while scratching. First understand what structure you want to give, and then scale it with the needle. After that scratch slowly till you carve the structure. The quality of chalk has to be good with minimum holes. Remember don’t hold the chalk firmly else it breaks, and it really hurts when it happens before final finishing.

2. Colour sketching: Sketch colours are beautiful if handled nicely. Sketch pens are not preferred to fill colours, instead outline. Deepness and sharpness of colour can be used to highlight, and combination of different colours make it magnificent. So, hold the sketch pen lightly over paper, focus on design. Sketch pens are more suitable creating zentangle.

Water paint

3. Water painting: The ultimate tool for art work. Water paint is an amazing way to give look and feel affect. With a round paintbrush, influence the colours on paper. Water colour can be applied to give a realistic touch to the painting. Here, the proportion of colour to water needs to be balanced else you might end up spoiling the paper. I have always been amazed by the way different artist use water colours to make an incredible art.

4. Oil painting: Oil painting is mostly used by professionals, and quiet costlier then the above mentioned tools. The most enjoyable part of oil paint is to spread the colours. The paper material for oil painting is different from normal paper, you can also use canvas. Oil painting can be used beautifully for Abstract Art.

5. Crafting: Do you miss your school days when teacher rewarded for best craft assignment? Let’s get back to the childhood professionally. There have been many creative ideas out of scraps, ice-cream sticks, wool, beads and many more. These handcrafts are loved by people; also there is a huge demand of hand-made decors. This is entirely your creativity what materials to use and how.

We all are waiting to go back to normal, but with a new self will add value to you. Staying quarantine, I tried my hand in the above mentioned art work, you can check those in my Instagram account at sheelaart9 .

I recommend, once you try your hands on the above mention art work, and if you are already doing then do let me know in the comment box.
